2011: ICMA conducted
the 2011 Solar survey in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE),
which focused on what local governments are doing for the adoption of solar
energy, particularly solar electric (solar PV). This survey contains information
on trends and developments in local government activities related to solar
energy. DOE utilized this survey data to assist with their efforts to support
